Discover Provence, the Vallee du Rhône (longest river in France), the French Alps and the famous wine producing Bourgogne region.
Highliths of this tour include:
Nougat tasting at Montelimar - Dinner cruise on the Annecy lake (optional) - Free time for lunch at Chamonix at the foot of the Mont-Blanc (the highest summit of Europe: 4807 m) - Architectural marvels dating from the Middle Ages, the Palais des Papes (Popes' Palace) in Avignon and the flamboyant gothic church at Brou - A stroll in the tiny Vezelay village perched on a hill top overlooking Burgundy countryside.
The tour begins at the NEW HOTEL BOMPARD in Marseille: meet with our Cityrama guide at 7- 7:30 PM
Day 1: Arrival and installation at the hotel late afternoon. Meet with our Cityrama guide and other members of the group at 7-7:30 PM
Day 2: Marseille - Annecy
Avignon: guided visit of the Popes' Palace - Montelimar: nougat manufacturer visit. Route by Grenoble, Chambéry and Annecy. Overnight at Annecy: hotel Allobroges. Dinner on your own (with possibility of reserving a dinner cruise on the lac d'Annecy locally).
Day 3: Annecy - Châlon sur Saône
The Route of the Alps (via Mégève) - Free time for lunch at Chamonix by the Mont-Blanc - Guided visit of the church of Brou - Bresse - Châlon sur Saône. Dinner and overnight in Burgundy: hotel Mercure Saône.
Day 4: Châlon sur Saône - Paris
Beaune: visit of the "Hospices" where vintage wine is produced: wine tasting - Regional lunch at Nuits St Georges - Stop at Vezelay and visit of the Basilica dedicated to Marie Madeleine. Return to Paris in the evening and end of the tour.
Included in the tour price: Luxury air-conditioned Cityrama transport. Licensed guide (English and Spanish). Entrance fees for guided visits. Hotel accommodation in 3* hotels: double room with bath or shower. Lunch at Nuits St Georges and dinner in Châlon sur Saône: regional menus, drinks not included. Hotel porterage throughout.
Cancellation fees : No refund for tours interrupted at clients own will or for unused portions.
Cancellations up until 20 days prior to departure date : no charge. Cancellations between 20 and 7 days prior to departure date : 30% of total price.
Cancellations between 7 and 1 day prior to departure date : 50% of total price.
Cancellation or no show on departure date : 100% of the circuit price.
