A combination of our Versailles Apartments and Chartres tours. This special offer has been especially designed to offer clients maximum flexibility, i.e. tours can be taken on alternative days and in alternative order.
Experience the splendour of the Versailles Palace representative of the grandeur of classical French architecture. The extravagant decoration and layout of the entire site reflect the will of King Louis XIV, known as the Sun King. Our guide will enthrall you on the life of the Kings during your visit. This tour includes a guided visit to the reception area of the Kings and Queen's apartments and free time in the gardens surrounding the palace.
Chartres is recognized as a World Heritage site by UNESCO, the Cathedral is still today an important centre for Christian pilgrims. The tour includes a drive through the Beauce flat open countryside. Guided visit to the cathedral and free time.
Note : Versailles is closed on local public holidays. Moreover, from 1st October 2000 through to 31st March 2001, the Versailles section of the tour does not operate on the 1st Sunday of each month.
